Flowerworks includes a video projection and postcards, that are based on an archive of flowers from my grandparents’ garden taken by them in 2005—2006. The keywords of the project are (creating) everyday-beauty, the desire for beauty and the shame of beauty, fetish and taboo. I am intrigued by playing on the verge of the obvious — which is closely related to everydayness and mundane, the subjects that I often focus on.

The video is a screen recording of ca 150 different pictures of flowers that interchange in infrequent rhythm. Every image itself consists of layers of 3—7 different photographs.
